The was the first picking in 2019 - hope that terrible gutting isn't a foretaste for the upcoming picking videos ;-) Anyway, thanks to 'lockmania' for this wonderful lock - lot of fun getting used to the lack of feedback.

Interesting lock and thanks for showing us your good technique to pick those
         Potti314 Potti314 04.01.2019->Thanks - that's for sure a beautifully made lock.

Hi, dear friend, can you tell me how to professionally call the tool for re-folding the insert which is under the handle in the mortise lock?
I have a few tucked up inserts and I do not advise you with tweezers, I know that tweezers with tweezers are inserted using only tweezers with springs - one from the side of the carrier, one is inserted in metal for blocking each bottom pin, then put in the drum and attach it with omega or o-ring (forgive my very bad english)

Those under-cut plug chambers ! I thought you would have much more trouble picking that, with those drivers catching in the plug - very good :o)
Potti314 Potti314 04.01.2019->Thank you. I got used to the feedback of this lock and could apply the right amount of tension to get free the pins easily from the undercut.

Nice job picking that Ruko Potti and, got that one open super fast mate ?? Nice job recovering from that driver pin mishap too; very nicely done and, what great locks these are ?? An awesome lock from lockmania buddy and, thanks for sharing his lock he sent you, with us all ?? Really enjoyed watching this and, thank you for another fantastic video my friend ? If I haven't said already too, Happy New Year from us all as well and, hope you have a fantastic 2019 mate ?? Thanks again ????

Fantastic picking as always Potti. I love that outer sleeve on the core, it really is ingenious. Thanks for sharing and take care mate.
Potti314 Potti314 03.01.2019->Thanks buddy, the sleeve design is great.

Nice and quick pick, you've really got a feel for the lock. ? The sleeve design is pretty effective. I don't know if it's cheaper and easier for the manufacturer instead of milling an undercut on each chamber? It looks like a nasty trap, nonetheless. ?
Potti314 Potti314 03.01.2019->For me the sleeve looks like an older way to achieve counter milling. More parts are required and more assembly steps.

Great job my Friend, i usually get the false set and keep tention on and look for a stock pin and lose the tention with presure on the stock pin to set it then tention on again and keep going like that and as a shim i use a piece of a soda can, glad you liked it and was able to both pick and gut it.
lockmania lockmania 02.01.2019->+Potti314 don't be afraid of it i am not so good to make Challenge locks but ruko in IT self can be a pain to pick so just by combine some ruko pins with some other pins they can be harder, give it a try my friend
Potti314 Potti314 02.01.2019->Thanks buddy, this is very nice lock. I actually own a proper shim - I will be prepared better next time. There is your Ruko challenge lock which I'm really afraid of now ;-)

Those driver pins are very cool! On the right challenge lock they’d be killer.
Nice picking!
Potti314 Potti314 02.01.2019->Yeah, these pins are very cool.

Cool lock & key. Good pick and not so good gutting but you saved it. I've only seen Ruko's with that sleeve. ??
Potti314 Potti314 02.01.2019->Haha, the gutting was terrible - I really should have used a proper shim (which I actually own).

Nice pick and you recovered well during the gutting. Good lock and interesting pins, sorted looked like t-pins. Thanks for sharing.
Potti314 Potti314 02.01.2019->Thanks - I was lucky that just the end of one spring was bent a bit after everything got stuck.

quick for a lock with counter milling and those pins
Potti314 Potti314 02.01.2019->I've picked it maybe four times before and it seems that I got a pretty good feeling for this particular lock, also the bitting isn't too bad and I got lucky - haha :-)
