Great job mate, i have also pick the same lock with the pipe grips.??
The lock is 9 wafers, no sidebars as such. You turn the key and it pushes the wafers up and down.
You have to tension on a zero disc. Not front or back as standard.
Not sure how your tensioner worked as the end of the key doesn't engage the lock.
Great picking anyway.????
West Coast Picks West Coast Picks 22.11.2018->+Baldiloks thank you very much for making that video! Not at all what I thought the inside of the lock looked like. Lol. Not sure how the tool I made was tensioning it though. Lol. You are correct though the key does not turn the tailpiece at all. But doing so does act as tension for picking. Gives me ideas for proper tools ?
Baldiloks Baldiloks 20.11.2018->+West Coast Picks i have one i have stripped, i have photos but i will do a video tonight to try and show it.
Again though mate, it is very impressive that you picked it.??
West Coast Picks West Coast Picks 20.11.2018->+Baldiloks huh. Weird. Cause the key doesn't even touch the front of the lock or the hole in the face of it. The tip of the key is slotted, and from what I can see so is the back of the lock. I would rip it apart to find out, but I don't Wana ruin it ?
Baldiloks Baldiloks 20.11.2018->+West Coast Picks the very tip of the key, or the first 2 cuts sit in a hole. This holds the key in the centre along with the face plate.
West Coast Picks West Coast Picks 19.11.2018->It does though. The only zero cut on the key is the very last cut (the tip of the key). If it wasn't the tool wouldn't have worked.

That is a very interesting lock. Did he say where he got it? I wonder what kind of place would use cam locks like that.
West Coast Picks West Coast Picks 19.11.2018->No he didn't say ? would be interesting to find out.

That is one cool little lock only from the back. Great idea on how to make a tool any body else would have ground it from steel lol llol.thanks for the video buddy. ?
West Coast Picks West Coast Picks 19.11.2018->I still might. Making it out of steel the first time would be a lot of effort for something that may not have worked. Since the bottom bit needs to be bigger than the rod itself, welding on a nub or milling the inner shaft down to be the right size while leaving the tip to then form to the right shape would be the only real way to do it. Both are far to time consuming for something that may not work.
I don't think most people would have done that. Lol but I could be wrong.

Very cool. I have a small Chubb padlock I can finally pick after mods to my tools. Very similar to this, just in a padlock. I will try do on camera some day.
West Coast Picks West Coast Picks 18.11.2018->Does it tension from the front or back?

Very cool. Almost certain it’s an Ava - first time I’ve seen it picked too :-)
West Coast Picks West Coast Picks 18.11.2018->I think so too. But every other ava I've seen tensions from the front on the first disk. That would make it much easier to deal with lol.

Chubb Ava???
West Coast Picks West Coast Picks 17.11.2018->Kind of. . The ava's I've seen tension from the first disk making it easy to tension. This one tensions from the back. But very similar type of lock.
