What a wicked design. Like the cut key with a wire going across the keyway. Fortunately it makes the key weak, and will probably never be commercially produced. I say fortunately because I like to pick locks. A lock that only a key will open, is no fun to me.
SeriousThree SeriousThree 19.07.2019->Wicked design, but what is this cold remedy? 120 proof Bourbon or something?

Stop to think about this design and it might be a viable design for the simplest approach giving headaches for defeat. The ball bearings as a "wall" could just be a pin.
Tom Hejda Tom Hejda 31.12.2018->But then the picking method would simply have to involve a specially shaped pick or a pair of picks, similarly to how Bowley is picked.

I bet a vascular doctor could.

Worse than glitter. Ball bearings everywhere.

As fumbly as his fingers are in this video, I strongly suspect Bill indulged quite a few of those liquor chocolates before attacking this lock. :P
And, since getting your opponents drunk is considered cheating in all sports, Bill wins by default. :P

I have a 'cobra' motorcycle chain lock (old type with heavy round flexible chain) which has a tubular 7 pin lock. Since I do not have a key for the lock I have taken it to several locksmiths over last 3 years. Nobody seems to be able to pick this lock (I don't know how much time they spent trying?). At this point I am considering buying the tubular lock pick (approx $100) and trying to pick it myself but I'm not sure the pick can do the job if the spring tensions are different? Could be just a waste of money but I watched several videos of the device and think I can do the same as in videos unless there are things I don't know about?

Do you have a few beginners picks you'd be willing to sell? I would absolutely love to get started in the world of locks!
Bosnianbill Bosnianbill 15.03.2019->Sorry, I don't sell stuff but you can find links to a LOT of beginner kits in the descriptions of all of my videos. Take a look at the Sparrows Tuxedo kit, UKBumpkeys (or LockPickWorld.com if you live in N. America) for their Praxis kit.

your voice sounds slightly different in this video. not sure if youve made any audio changes or if you have a cold or sore throat or something. it sounds maybe a little deeper, not sure.

Wonder if it would be possible to design a sort of pick that can extend itself within the lock to reach those rear pins without oversetting the front. Something maybe with a thin but strong material like a stiffer guitar string that you can push up through the pick and out the end.

To see Bill make a mistake on disassembly, makes the rest of us feel SO much better. What a wicked design !

I think it would have been great fun to have been with TJ for the first watching of your video trying to pick that "evil masterpiece" creation! I'm sure TJ & I would have had hurt bellies from laughing so hard! (You were were pre-warned, ya know)

FYI it was only last night when yours truly dumped some pins out by making the same mistake on a Master LOTO lock cylinder -- oops!

This goes for T.J. and any others that have more knowledge then I .. Why ball bearings ( besides the clever name ) ... why not a roll pin and call it a 7 pin lock... is there a service or operation aspect to it... or that’s what ya had layin around???

Honestly, I think if a key has to be modified like that, it is not that great of a design. However, I do not make the rules.

I lost it on the "Christ Almighty I heard another ball bearing hit the floor". Oooohhh, Happy New Year Mr. Bill!
