I don’t think this is fully stock, but it’s the only DOM I have with these incredible and iconic floating wafer driver pins. Let me know in the comments if you think this has been modded ? :-)

From what little I know about lock picking from watching videos on the internet I would have to say that this was put together as a challenge lock. I can imagine those pins as being standard. Also I don't know how you are able to feel through them so easily. With all of the different possibilities it seems like it would be impossible to pick this and yet you went through it so easy. Do you think that the floating pins were turned on a lathe or do you think the floating pins were pressed together? Great post thank you for showing it.
         @LockNoob @LockNoob 02.09.2019->These are commercial pins made by DOM and they are famous for them. I think they must have pressed them somehow :-)

         @LockNoob @LockNoob 11.08.2019->It’s just practice, but thank you :-)

Great picking Ash my friend, beautiful lock, the floating wafer drivers are absolutely beautiful, have some in my collection and I love them. Great video, thanks for showing ;o)))

Awesome picking , tho , this one isn't definitely stock pinned. Not just because of these standard keypins that differ from other , but also , this is the first one that has 3 floating wafer pins , while it's just 2 in standards. Mine and few others also have 2 per side. (2 per rim cylinder) :)
         @LockNoob @LockNoob 11.08.2019->Interesting, thanks! At least it has more of these cool pins rather than less :-)
         @s0men00bb @s0men00bb 11.08.2019->Indeed , these pins aren't easy to overcome , as they are spools and serrated , and above them is always torpedo key pin. :) Falling into deep false set usually means overset keypin , and that means only one thing - lock reset. :) And , they are quite unique , never saw such complexity into just one pin ! :)

Very interesting. I recently switched locksmith companies and we are sooo busy i havnt been able to watch your recent picking. But you still got it my friend! And I still use those picks you gave everyday
         @LockNoob @LockNoob 11.08.2019->Well, that’s great (as long as you like the new job!). Thanks for still watching :-)
         @stratsteveo106 @stratsteveo106 12.08.2019->@@LockNoob I love it. My boss bought me a van fully loaded with 3 big tool boxes. I got my door closers, hinges, tools, locks, multi lock pin kit, medeco pin kit, and of course my bad ass pick kit courtesy of lock noob :). The fun life of a locksmith
         @LockNoob @LockNoob 12.08.2019->Stella the Locksmith that’s really cool!

How are those floating pins assembled - i would have to assume it is like a spool pin with a removable end with washers/wafers in the middle but how to fix the end on - brazing? - that could cause warping of the pin
         @LockNoob @LockNoob 11.08.2019->I don’t actually know. It’s a great piece of small engineering though :-)
         @keithroberts5946 @keithroberts5946 11.08.2019->Could you use a tap and die set to make one end of spool screw on/off - have have tiny hands to do it properly
         @Foagik @Foagik 21.09.2019->Look closer at the top, they look to be rivetted.

What great pins to challenge a great picker. <br>Did the lock moving in the vice make it a little more difficult to pick?
         @LockNoob @LockNoob 11.08.2019->Thanks and no, not so much :-)

You barbarian! Handling key pins without using pinning tweezers! Were you raised in a mud hut? LOL!
         @stratsteveo106 @stratsteveo106 10.08.2019->I hardly ever use tweezers on key pins. Only installing driver pins and I use small needle nose plyers
         @LockNoob @LockNoob 11.08.2019->Lol :-)
