When I saw a TSA lock in this card key format, I just had to explore! Sadly, like all TSA locks, they offer nothing more than an illusion of security ? but on the plus side they are fun to mess around with ???

Then take it: you're required to declare it and send it as checked baggage, and it must be in a locked case without a TSA-openable lock. They'll X-ray the bag, but won't open it to search it.

You&#39;re as well using a cable tie. then you will know if a bag has been opened or not. unless they go to the trouble of cutting the lock off

Locks only keep out honest thieves. But the right one can delay someone long enough to either get caught or to decide it&#39;s not worth the risk. Most TSA locks don&#39;t qualify for either of those.

If the TSA decide to open a locked bag they do so - if they can&#39;t find a key they cut it off or open the bag another way by force<br>Try claiming back for an expensive proper lock<br>Cheap lock without any real security is OK i suppose under the circumstances

Wow, the is an extra step in TSA security. This lock has two crappy locks to pick! It certainly is a nice novelty for locksporters.
