I know this is a bit late, but couldn't the back plate just be pulled off non-destructively with some strong tape, so you could pull the guts out, or apply pressure to the locking bar & pick it with a single, small neodymium magnet?

That was one of the most different locks I&#39;ve ever seen and I doubt it even in advanced lock pic person is going to be able to easily open that and certainly I doubt if you&#39;re come criminal will. I believe I&#39;m going to get me a couple of them because I have some things that I would love to have a deterrent that&#39;s pretty effective and it seems to be the case here. Thank you it was extremely interesting and I&#39;m sorry the lock gave his life but they are going to Sell at least two to me ha ha Ha

Imagine having this key in your pocket with an ATM card with magnetic data strip. After you take the card from pocket, it no longer works.

My thoughts are: One N50 neodymium mag to move over entire surface in circular pattern orbiting all mags and use light tension as usual. One at a time they should fall into place. No need to check them individually. Id love to try that one!

The locking mechanism is really complex but the way it&#39;s assembled is rather weak for a lock of that price.

ingenious lock, but the brass would have to be made thicker at the front because it shimmers through easily.

I bet if you had 6 magnets that are the polarized right, you could just keep rotation them until it unlocks, There would be almost no way to know if it is working or not. You could try running it through a degausser and ruin it completely lol. A torch might demagnetize them also, but it also might pop the back off too.
