I broke mine yesterday. 30 years old padlock from the time when I was at school. Left it fall on the ground in front of the locker at the gym. It was open and something broke inside .<br><br>I feel like I&#39;ve just lost an old friend.

I can sadly not help you to open your lock with the five combinations but I heard that there are larger versions of this lock as well. It is very interesting that you have one! Have one just like the older one..use it on my patio door....can reach in through the gate and by tactile open the lock without looking at the combo....try doing that with any other combination lock....

Have you seen any variations where this lock has 01234 instead of 1234? I seem to have the former example.

Very nice informative video Adrien. I actually ran across one of these a few weeks back but didn&#39;t pay it much attention. The one I saw wasn&#39;t anywhere near the condition of these two.

          @AdrianWeber 12.07.2014->Sadly they are not, would have been really cool to have such a nice piece still in production. But you know how it is they always stop to produce the nice stuff. I am just glad the Burg Wachter Karat, Profi, Diamant and Gamma padlocks are still being produced!

Even nowadays there are padlocks that Abus REFUSES to send to my locksmith because they ONLY produce them for the American market. Stupid if you ask me.

Interesting lock, does it have a factory set combination that can&#39;t be changed?
          @AdrianWeber 07.07.2014->Hey insecure, yes the combination is factory set and you can not change it. As the padlock is quite small and I would have recommended to use it for low security applications anyway. For me it is just a cool piece for the collection ;)

          @AdrianWeber 06.07.2014->It is quite expensive to produce such a metal plate for every padlock. At least nowadays it is. I believe they switched to "cardboard" (Pappe oder Papier) because it is less expensive. I prefer the metal plate but it seems that is reserved for the vintage pieces :P Thanks Nik!
