nachdem schön bei allen Bohrern die Schneiden verglüht hast ,Hätte ich einfach mal mit nem stink normalen Hammer auf den Zylinder gehauen wäre bestimmt viel schneller gewesen

Well done. For enhanced security a lock with drill protection is a must.
         Potti314 Potti314 30.12.2019->Yes, absolutely. I my eyes snap and drill protection is a must.

Should have drilled 2 mm up

Way to low
         Eykis 11:11 Eykis 11:11 05.01.2020->Another guy commented saying to drill even lower than he did but your saying higher?
         Potti314 Potti314 30.11.2019->OK, thanks - this was just an unskilled attempt to have some fun.

Why not just drill straight into the key hole instead of under it first mate?
         Potti314 Potti314 18.11.2019->You need to clear the sheer line and the intact plug allows turning the lock open afterwards.

great vid , well done for picking it first ,Respect
         Potti314 Potti314 03.10.2019->Thanks. I'm used to picking and not used to drilling out the pins as you might have recognized ;-)

Stick to picking, surprised you didn't break a drill bit. Sharpen some of those bits.
         Potti314 Potti314 12.08.2019->Thanks for watching. Yeah next time I'll sharpen them first.

Yikes! I’m sure I would have found even more ways to make a mess. Fun to watch. I’m happy I dove deeper into your content.

I tried this method and my drill bit broke inside where you made the first hole ?.Is there a way to open the lock?
         Potti314 Potti314 05.05.2019->You can try drilling out the plug (the rotating cylinder). Just make sure you don't hit the cam at the end.

Sorry but wouldn't making the plug spin like that destroy the doors mechanism? Causing only more problems
         Potti314 Potti314 15.01.2019->Yes. I was doing this completely unprepared. It was an experiment and not a tutorial. When the cam is damaged it's very troublesome.

Lol this video made me laugh "now we have have a big hole"
         Potti314 Potti314 14.11.2018->It's a long time ago, I cannot really remember but I guess 4 or 5 mm.
         shooting stars shooting stars 11.11.2018->What size mm did you use? What's best size without changing?
         Potti314 Potti314 10.11.2018->Haha, this was a bit of a massacre, I know. But I wanted to do it with the least preparation. Meanwhile I'm much smarter regarding this but I had a lot of fun just to jump in.

Clearly you don't have a clue what you are doing. I have drilled many euro cylinders & never had the issues your having. Your drill point for a start is wrong place, that is your main mistake. I will not disclose the correct drill point but please anyone trying this do not do it unless tou have proper training like I have.
         Neil Batchelor Neil Batchelor 26.10.2018->@Potti314 I've read comments that people are going to try this one day to save them money. The fact is it could cost them more money when it goes wrong. I have been to alot of jobs where they have watched youtube to try sort the problem & made it worse. Maybe it would be an idea to put a message up stating that you are experimenting & they shouldn't copy what you do. Wasn't ment to come across as impolite either
         Potti314 Potti314 24.10.2018->I dislike impolite replies. I'm sharing my unprepared experiment here - it's not a tutorial. You see me learning on the go. I have intentionally not done any investigations in advance. It's about the fun, and you probably missed that - what a pity.

         Potti314 Potti314 24.08.2018->Any tips by the way?
         Potti314 Potti314 24.08.2018->No worries - I only have some fun with that stuff ;-)

Thanks for the video. Just saved myself some money and earned myself a drill
         Potti314 Potti314 01.08.2018->Good luck with your experiments. Let me know the results of your tests.

Tips: use a sharp,drill bit, put the tip of the drill bit on the shear line directly, So higher up. Stop moving the drill angle so much, keep it straight and push firmly on it. Count the pins as you go through them and stop at 5, then test it and try for a 6th pin if it doesn’t open. Don’t go further than that as you could end up damaging the cam that would usually be in the centre of the lock, then Even if the lock turns, it won’t open the door.
         Ben Laws Ben Laws 31.05.2018->There are different places you can drill, Ive always stuck with bang on the shear line I guess because it’s what I was taught as an apprentice. It seems to be the most widely used drill point tho. The core never snaps unless you drill the hell out of it so don’t worry bout that. But let me know what you find easiest as I might have a go drilling lower just to see if it’s any good as a method
         Potti314 Potti314 30.05.2018->Thank you for your tips. Using a sharp drill bit is for sure a good idea ;-) Will make some comparison test next time as I have received different suggestion regarding the drill location. If you drill in the plug I would assume that you might end up in a plug split in half's and not able to turn the cam anymore

I think WD40 is a bad choice as a cutting lubricant
         Potti314 Potti314 12.04.2018->Yes, true. But that was the best I had at hand when conducting this dirty experiment.
