I’m shopping for locks to put on a Pelican case. I stumbled across your videos and now think I’m just throwing money away on any lock. Or I have to search every person for a pipe wrench and pick tools that comes into the vicinity of my gear.

I had eyes on this model and you just deflated my hope of a solution.
@xabysebastian529 @xabysebastian529 17.06.2026->I’m looking for my Pelican Air 1615. Nothing seems secure enough. What did you end up getting?
@WINDSHEAR-STUDIO @WINDSHEAR-STUDIO 17.06.2026->@xabysebastian529I went with the American Lock 5200. The 5200 has a 8mm shackle and should fit your case as online, this case is mentioned to take 8mm thick shackles. These are more robust locks, so it would slow this method of destruction down maybe, but I don’t think there’s anything that can completely stop an experienced thief using this method on a case and lock this size. It just keeps 95% of the thieves out of your valuables as only the more experienced ones are aware of all the picking and destruction methods to pass these locks quickly.

I wonder if someone could make a cylinder shaped padlock, that has a spinner ring on the outside, so that twist attacks, just spin the outer ring, and don't work. ?

Is this the shortest LPL video? Someone mentioned that in another comment section, and I'd like to know

This is his shortest video and the most realistic wrenches are pretty good

someone should make a cylindrical lock. that'll protect both the hasp and the lock, since it'll be pretty hard to take a grasp on with that wrench.

Ummm. You do know this is marketed as a LOTO lock, right? If someone is using this for a security application, they get what they deserve.

It looks like the force required to break the lock also deformed the door ofvthe point where it couldn't be openned. An unintentional success, now they can't get in!

i somehow expected the 72/40 to offer some resistance before snapping

You locked the door by twisting the guard. Very good no longer a lock needed!

It pains me to see a beautiful 72/40 being destroyed, but nice attack, simple and effective.
