I think I’ve been putting too much tension on as I can’t move the pick to the back pins. First real lock I’ve tried and not been able to pick it yet!

Getting the tensioning spot on normally renders the spools obsolete.<br>My guess is your too good for the lock????????????<br>Thanks for sharing??

Hi there, <br>Interesting idea foe a video.<br>I&#39;m stuck. I have hit a plateau in picking, and feel like am am going backwards. <br>Locks I have picked before, now seem really difficult. I am reverting to old Master locks to restore my confidence. <br>Any thoughts oh guru noob?
          @LockNoob 29.07.2017->R. Akers this happens to us all, don't worry or panic. Going back to comfort locks is a great way to get some quick opens and bring the fun back. Stopping picking for a couple of days, having a couple of beers and/or just making sure you are relaxed and not distracted often brings the mojo back. I can always pick tougher locks when I'm not tired, I'm in a happy place and I have some space to concentrate on what the lock is telling me :-) now go grab a beer and an easy couple of locks :-)

I picked this last month, mine was from eBay still in the packaging, so I picked it out the packaging, I used the exact same pick as you did. Great minds think alike lol, Cheers for the video. PS: mine felt like it only had one spool, but it may have been due to the initial raking I did, Using the sparrows worm.

I am a little suspicious about laminated padlocks with bumpers as chinese padlocks often just have a brand stuck on them. <br>I don&#39;t know if Assa abloy has this made in china.....what are your thoughts?
          @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Hmmm, more than possible it's made in China. Sadly I don't have the box to check :-)
          @Harmuthkuthanapalithi 23.07.2021->Most yale are made in China But the only purchase padlocks at GBP 20+ go below and they start becoming crunchy and I'd prefer all to be used in the shade. For outdoor go for solex out of 20 padlock I used 10 and only 1 had failed 30GBP+ yale bought 10 and 4 have failed withing a span of 10 years using them outdoor. If it in the shade they both last 10 years easy peasy.

I was wondering, since Yale is part of the Assa Abloy family, if this lock could be an attempt to market a product with the aim to compete with Master and American ? The fact that you were able to pick it in such a short time could suggest it - what&#39;s the pricing (if you remember) ? Yes it was interesting - most of your videos are (really).           @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Possibly, it's definitely at the cheap end for Yale. I have picked similar ones that have better bitting and mushroom pins in, but this one is pretty poor :-)
