------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @jayrave4 06.11.2021 I think I’ve been putting too much tension on as I can’t move the pick to the back pins. First real lock I’ve tried and not been able to pick it yet!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @pickbeard2690 02.08.2017 Getting the tensioning spot on normally renders the spools obsolete.
My guess is your too good for the lock????????????
Thanks for sharing?? @LockNoob 03.08.2017->Too good for the lock... yes, I like that ???
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @NoctisMotus 02.08.2017 A strange feeling when you find yourself looking at the lock and asking, "really?" :) @LockNoob 02.08.2017->I know, right. Lol :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @Potti314 29.07.2017 ...but it looks nice :-) Good job picking - thanks for showing it. @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Yeah, it looks good, but it's a bit of a disappointment :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @markhicks371 29.07.2017 I have one of these yale locks .and it's bit of a challenge to pick ..maybe I just need for practice ?well picked cheers ... @LockNoob 30.07.2017->It's a nice one for learning :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @martyhastings9347 29.07.2017 sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you..............maybe just a good day or maybe just a man who's good. @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Wise words ;-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @RAkers-tu1ey 29.07.2017 Hi there,
Interesting idea foe a video.
I'm stuck. I have hit a plateau in picking, and feel like am am going backwards.
Locks I have picked before, now seem really difficult. I am reverting to old Master locks to restore my confidence.
Any thoughts oh guru noob? @LockNoob 29.07.2017->R. Akers this happens to us all, don't worry or panic. Going back to comfort locks is a great way to get some quick opens and bring the fun back. Stopping picking for a couple of days, having a couple of beers and/or just making sure you are relaxed and not distracted often brings the mojo back. I can always pick tougher locks when I'm not tired, I'm in a happy place and I have some space to concentrate on what the lock is telling me :-) now go grab a beer and an easy couple of locks :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @gantry289 29.07.2017 Good Job, Nice quick pick.           @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Thanks :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @lockpickinmagician9262 28.07.2017 Happy Friday Lock Noob ! Nice picking there ! p.s. - you are going to have to change your name soon..... Lock NOT So Noob maybe ? hehe. Nice little lock there, a real fun pick. @LockNoob 28.07.2017->Happy Friday :-). Yeah, people keep saying I should change my name, but it's too late now :-) besides, this channel is dedicated to Noobs and intermediate picking... I can leave all the really hard stuff to BB and LPL ;-) @lockpickinmagician9262 29.07.2017->oh yes that is very true hahaha ! Yes, everyone knows you by Lock Noob, don't ever change it ! I was just joking anyway :-) Thank you again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @dirk4926 28.07.2017 Well done mate.           @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Thank you :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @n0comply668 28.07.2017 I picked this last month, mine was from eBay still in the packaging, so I picked it out the packaging, I used the exact same pick as you did. Great minds think alike lol, Cheers for the video. PS: mine felt like it only had one spool, but it may have been due to the initial raking I did, Using the sparrows worm. @LockNoob 30.07.2017->I think these locks are highly variable depending on their bitting. This one wasn't great :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @billbacardi3262 28.07.2017 Nice job sir. Cool little Yale           @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Thank you :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @ryanott4746 28.07.2017 Did you try to rake it open?           @LockNoob 30.07.2017->I didn't, it I should try it :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @WilliamMancel 28.07.2017 Looks like they at least have ball bearings. Nice Picking buddy. ? @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Yes, at least it has that feature :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @neosapien995 28.07.2017 Good on ya! Love the Euro hook great feedback. @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Thanks :-) one of my fave hooks too :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @BD90.. 28.07.2017 I am a little suspicious about laminated padlocks with bumpers as chinese padlocks often just have a brand stuck on them.
I don't know if Assa abloy has this made in china.....what are your thoughts? @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Hmmm, more than possible it's made in China. Sadly I don't have the box to check :-) @Harmuthkuthanapalithi 23.07.2021->Most yale are made in China But the only purchase padlocks at GBP 20+ go below and they start becoming crunchy and I'd prefer all to be used in the shade. For outdoor go for solex out of 20 padlock I used 10 and only 1 had failed 30GBP+ yale bought 10 and 4 have failed withing a span of 10 years using them outdoor. If it in the shade they both last 10 years easy peasy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @lsdlocks4673 28.07.2017 I was wondering, since Yale is part of the Assa Abloy family, if this lock could be an attempt to market a product with the aim to compete with Master and American ? The fact that you were able to pick it in such a short time could suggest it - what's the pricing (if you remember) ? Yes it was interesting - most of your videos are (really). Thanks for this one and greetings. Chris - LSDLocks. @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Possibly, it's definitely at the cheap end for Yale. I have picked similar ones that have better bitting and mushroom pins in, but this one is pretty poor :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @Leonslockpad 28.07.2017 Nice quick pick my friend??????           @LockNoob 30.07.2017->Thank you :-)
