I have seen Master locks doing this, but for sure I would be surprised as you if that happened to me :D. I think evanchapmanfanman gave the answer I was thinking of too. With a big enough shackle and weak pawls springs, yeah...I think plausible :).

that&#39;s great! I&#39;ve seen a few master locks open from dropping them on the floor although they were only dropped by accident and I couldn&#39;t recreate the opening. but thanks for sharing. it&#39;s weird what can open a lock sometimes.

          @Phred_Phlintstoner 14.11.2017->Lock Noob give it a try... it's no big loss of you mess one up. I'd recommend using little force at first. then really start slamming them down hard. lol. just make sure you are by yourself or the wife may think you have gone insane!

I think you are right... It likely has a weak spring or broken part inside.

Very interesting! I know several people who swear by opening Masterlocks by tapping with a hammer, but I’ve never seen this method before ? Guess I need to get one of the Brinks models similar to this and try ?<br>By the way I think you win “Shortest yet most interesting Locksport video of the year” ????
