Great picking my friend, these old style assa spools are really awesome, I love that design, they catch very well the chamber serrations and make picking very challenging, cool ;o))<br>great gutting and analisys of the lock, I love the screw to hold the springs in place, is a cool design, it make the gutting very easy and safe, it´s a shame the new SCD don´t have it.<br>Really cool vid buddy, a pleasure to view, thanks for showing ;o))

A nice and interesting lock! Thank you for showing it. Question: how do the anti-drill pins protect it from drilling? Oh another question: you said you didn&#39;t take advantage of the wafers when picking - how do you take advantage of it?
          @Potti314 06.04.2018->Anti-drill pins are hardened steel pins that are placed in the lock (plug and / or bible). If you try to use a drill to drill away the pins (key pins and / or drivers) to open the lock, a normal drill bit will break when it hits against the steel rod. That's drill protection.
If a pin stack has master wafers then you have more chances (+1 chance for every wafer) to get the pin stack picked. In a pin stack with no wafer you have only one chance to get the stack picked. If you overset, you're done. If there's a wafer, there's another separation line.

Hi Potti314, When you first put the key in, the lock hesitated to turn. I&#39;m guessing the 6th key pin needed a little wiggle on the plug before it settled onto the key - no driver or spring as shown. Regards, Brian.

Beautiful gin bottle spools and very clean picking - shame it was Master wafered though :-)
          @Potti314 06.04.2018->Thanks :-) Well, all the wafers were in the plug, so they didn't help me with picking. Also it will get reassembled with new key pins and no master wafers.

A common misconception is that SCD is a specific ASSA product line. It is a trademark they use to denote cylinders which are drilling protected; it stands for Security Cylinder Drillproof.

I had this lock for very long without trying to pick it open due to its intimidating name. Now was the time for a test on this lock and it turned out not too difficult. But still this lock has some nice and surprising properties.
